Participate in construction site meetings to discuss the circumstances of the construction, including maintenance of traffic and directional boring. Review of permit sets prior to submittal to government agencies. Coordinate and prepare justification for the issuing of checks for permit fees. Communicating with public officials from Unincorporated Dade County, City of Miami, South Florida Water Management, FDOT on issues affecting the permits.

Designed inside and outside fiber and copper data cabling infrastructure cables within buildings and on campus environments. Prepared plans and Scope of Work documents for the installation of data cabling infrastructure. Planned the layout of racks, patch panels, equipment, UPS, ladder racks and other appurtenances in telecommunications rooms.

 

Prepared requests for quotes from Bell South for high-speed data circuits for customers (T-1, frame relay, ISDN, 56 KBPS, etc.). Created or updated circuit layouts. Coordinated the installation of circuits and equipment to ensure their successful operation, including demarcation point extensions.

 

Scheduled and conducted meetings with Miami-Dade County contractors, hardware group technician and customer. Prepared spreadsheet for customer showing breakdown of each bid cost component.

 

Managed projects for new cable facilities installed by telecommunications contractors in Miami-Dade County buildings. Reviewed work progress and milestones. Resolved problems to keep project on schedule.

Reviewed final cable test results, gather documentation and as built records for archiving. Performed inspections and conducted final walk through with customer.

 

Analyzed current data network documentation and proposed a new on-line graphical database system using GIS in a Client/Server environment to document the data network.
